I would like to make an important announcement here regarding Anime Heist Signature Of The Week contest [SOTW]. We got quite a lot of entries when it first started and everything went well. However, from what I have seen lately, the number of participants has slowly decreased each week until there was a time when we only had one entry. Where are our GFXers?? There can't be only me and Vane right? D:
Due to this situation, I have made a decision to stop our SOTW temporarily after having a discussion with Chris. If you have anything against this and think that I should reopen the contest, feel free to PM me and please state a valid reason why I should start it again.

Just something that crossed my mind: maybe some people think that theyre not good enough to enter the contest, since they view it as being some sort of competition where the loser get dissed.
This is absolutely not what the sotw is, its rather one of the few weekly events we organize here to share something we made up to express our creativity. Following this line of thought, maybe we could try something that could appeal to more people and sound less competitive, something like "doodles of the week" where people could just drop anything creations, not just signatures but anything graphic (other versions of non graphic stuff can alos be made if you guys want)that uve done and want to know what people think of it.
But like i said, its just a thought..

[size="1"]I think another big reason is because a lot of people are too busy to make stuff, like myself. Real life is so hectic and chaotic that I can really only spare a brief glance through the forums and mod whatever needs to be modded before running off to do other things. It's crazy.
However now that some stuff has been cleared up, I have a couple of hours (Finally! *cheers*) each day to spare. I think I'd be able to attend SOTW now. However, even with me taking part in it, I doubt that it'd last long with just Kallen, Vaney and myself.
Everyone, we'd all appreciate it if you GFXers could take some time to do this. It's a great way to watch other people improve, and an effective way to get criticism for your works. Criticism leads to improvement. It doesn't matter how good you are.
I hope SOTW takes flight again, the few times I participated, it was really fun.[/size]
I know I'm very new here and all, so my words may not be very credible...BUT just so you know, if you reopen sotw, I'll be a pretty regular participant, it's kind of a hobby of mine so yeah, would love to have a go at it here
It seems like we have new GFXers here (Shinobi and Neko) and I will reopen it if there are more members who are willing to participate =)
