You play a 'normal' character who has a very odd condition. Your character often has trouble telling what is a dream and what isn't. On the surface, the game looks average at best but as soon as the player accepts a 'storyline' to play the entire game crosses the edge of abstract. Not fully knowing what to expect next the player is pulled directly into what could be one of the weirdest game experiences ever made.

-The ability to change characters, who then can also change how the game is played [one might play like a traditional rpg, another like a platformer, one to bring back memories of Zelda, and there is something for those MGS fans out there...]

-Easy to use interface. A new feature called the 'EdgeWood Hub' interact with your menus and extras as if it were like any other map within the game

-Built upon the new RPGVX system [now with the possiblity of online content]

ok this is what I have so far:

2 'storylines' : genre Survival Horror: Sometime within the game, a close friend of yours get a distress signal from a office building, unhappy with your friends line of work you decided to go home early and head to bed. As soon as the player character goes to sleep is when this story begins. As Tabi you enter the building in which you got the distress call from, but little does Tabi know that a great evil sent out that distress call...and it's looking for new test subjects to fuel 'Mother'. estimated time of story = 20+ hours

Genre Action: In the mist of you needing money, you look for a job in the newspaper. You find that a game company is looking for testers for a 'ground changing' new series. As soon as you get there however, you learn that the company, instead of building the game on computers [like how all games are made], broke several laws of physics and built the entire game in real life. You task is to get to point B from point A without opening up a 'complex'. But how can you if there is a gap the size of a house in the middle of the field? By using the companies newest product 'TerraChan' you have the ability to change the ground around you in order to get where you want to go.

EdgeWood Hub: I got most of the stuff built and out of the way, I want to figure out a way so people can customize the room that they own.

Art wise: I want a bunch of different styles to cross the game with, this is needed to bring out the 'is the character dreaming or not' aspect of the game.

Sounds like Final Fantasy 7. Cloud assumes Zack's role without knowing that his memories were fake. He took on Zack's memory about being a 1st class soldier when actually he never even passed the entrance exam to Shinra .....

The game was about Cloud self discovery and finding out the truth. Cloud was eventually nourished with Mako due to Hojo's experiments which would explain why Cloud who never was a 1st class soldier, suddenly became so strong that he could fight Sephiroth. The explanation of what Professors Hojo's experiments on Cloud and Zack were never really explained in the game which was one of the parts of the story they should have done better at ..............
gah I didn't want it to end like that...

too much fanboyism around ff7
I am sorry to say but it is true...
